SMB or Small to Mid-sized Businesses is a marketing term often used in the private sector to describe businesses that are larger than a sole proprietorship but smaller than a large corporation. In government contracting, the term SMB sometimes gets used to describe small businesses.  However, SMB tends to have different definitions depending on who you ask.  Where as a government small business or a “GovCon SB” or is clearly defined.
