In this episode of the CO Podcast 2.0, Kevin and Paul outline the concept of Evaluation Criteria and Evaluation Factors in government contracts.

Evaluation Criteria is a key element in any purchase decision among more than one option. Even outside government contracting, every purchase decision where we have more than one option (and this is most purchase decisions), we come up with some element that we use to differentiate between the options. In GovCon these are called “Evaluation Criteria” and/or “Evaluation Factors”.

These Evaluation Criteria can include price, service, speed, color, responsiveness, reputation and many other things. However, in GovCon, these Evaluation Criteria can be a challenging aspect of competing and winning contracts. This episode is the first in a series that digs into the what, why, and how of Evaluation Criteria.
